My Dear wife I one more take my pen in hand to in form you that I am well and I truley hope when those fiew lins comes to hand tha will find you and the children well I hav wrote severel letters to you and I hav not got eny word from you and I think vary strang of you for the way you hav don if you hav goan oaf from home to stay I will try to sell all of the propertey or hav it don I think you had better stade at home and trid to kep all of the things to gether and take cear of them I recived one letter from you that / stated that your Mother was dead and that you was agoing to stay with nancey Jane a while and then I heard that you was agoing to move up thare and I dont no where you are Jethro mintchel he told me that you was at home and I dont now whear you are I hav wrote home to you and I hav wrote to Iowa and I can not get eny letters from you and I want you to write to mee and let mee no how you are a getting along in the world and what you ame to do and if you will not stay at home by your self hier a buoy to stay with you I think you hav money / yet and get som buoy to stay with you and take cear of our propertey so that if you and the children livs you will hav sumthing to liv on if I never liv to get home to stay with you I hav the rise of 27 dollars with mee now and it will not be long till the next pay day and if I dont get to com home before I think I will come after the next pay day I dont stand gard Dale more Semore and me is adoing the coking for the Compeney Rittey Ann I want you if I never get home to see you I want want us to liv so that when we hav to die that wee can meet each other in / the kingdom of heven whear parting will be no more so I must com to a close fare well to all

Children be good to your mother and read your littel books I hav one for a littel Jacob I will send it to him the first chance I hav I recived A letter from you just now and I was glad to hear from you and the children I recived A letter from father just now and it stated that mother was speachles at times and tha was looking for her to die fare well
