Dear Rittey ann I am one time more take my pen in hand to in forme you that I am well and I hope those lins comes to hand tha will find you all well and doing well we are on our way to Adlantia georga we hav to march thru and it is tolerbel hot wether hear at this time for to march so fare well we hav to stay hear a fiew days till three Companeys comes from McMinnville tha was left thare the boys is all well we had a nice wrane hear yestearday we landed hear in the wrane yestearday I stood the trip fine only my feet gets sore and a coarn on my foot maks it wores than it wold be I dred the trip that is before us over the mountians and rocks /
Oh may God help us and strenthen us so that we may stand the trip thrue and conker our inimes and return home to our beloved ones at home Oh tha are near and dear to us tho I may never see you on this earth I hope to meet you in a world of bliss beyn this world of trubel and disstress
it is thare that is no ware nor parting of husbons and wives or little children or friends
thare we peece forever and let us try to get thare we hav three months and 19 days and then we will hav our time out tho the is plentey of time to kill lots of us yet No I belive I will see you and the children a gane I think we will come home after we take Adlantia dont get out of hart I think god is a just one and he will do rite and I trust in him /
well Rittey Ann a bout that land I rote in the last letter to you I sent Sixtey five dollars to you by Mr Carter he will be at middelbury and will giv it to you or Mike Coon he livs in lynious his name is thomas Carter he is discharged and has goan home Joshua hendrix sent som money home and he will not by the land till he hears from that money and as soon as he hears from his money then him and mee will rite we want no one to no a bout us a going to by the land I rote for you to sell the mare if you thought it the best if you can do with out hur sell hur for that prise and if I live Ill be at home in time to get a nother for us rite as soon as you can and send me som stamps if you pleas
