My Dear Wife I take my pen in hand to in forme you this eavning that I am well and in fine spirits tho I think the time long sinc I hav recived line from you tho I exspect to the is a letter now at McMinnsville we met the male day yestearday and we will not return to mcminnville for too or three days we landed hear this eavning we came after rashins and clothing we hav nice wether hear and the roads is a getting good and som of the sitezons is a plowing hear and at McMinnville and tha say it has bin the / coaldest wintter hear tha hav seen for severel year the boys is all well and in good hart we hav heard from your countery and the repoart is that you hav nice warme wether thare I want to hear from you bad and I hope and pray that those scrabling lins may reach you and find you all well and a doing well I rite this blooted and scrabling letter in a parte of a stabel in the manger and my lite glimers so bad that I cant rite mutch and you must excuse me for this time and when you rite to me direct to same place as before I want to be rememberd by you all and my prairs is for you all if I never see you all on this earth / I hope and pray that we may all meet on the brite shores of etearnel bliss where we can sing the prase of God and the lamb Oh let this be in our minds and pray for each other as often as we can I no it is the dutey of each and every one to pray for them selvs the time seems long sinc I last seen you and will seem longer if we liv Oh may this on holey ware come to a spedey close and peec extend thru out the hole nation
