Lydia Williams was born around 1812 in Ohio, and she married Robert Williams in the early 1830s. They had at least seven children: Angeline, born around 1834; Justus, born around 1836; Mary Ann, born around 1838; Elizabeth, born around 1841; David, born around 1844; James, born around 1845; and John, born around 1848. The family lived in Ashland County, Ohio, and they owned $2,200 of real estate in 1850. Her husband died sometime in the 1850s. By 1860, Lydia was working as a farm manager, and she owned $2,500 of real estate and $700 of personal property. She died sometime after 1860.
