My Dear Wife it is with grate pleasure that i take my pen in hand to in forme you that i recived your cind letter baring date march the 11 which giv me grate satisfaction to hear that you and the children was all well and a doing as well i cold exspect for you to do i think my helth is improving i feel better to day then i hav for one month tho i hav not bin well since i was sick at Macon City i got your letter this eavning / our helth is getting good in our Compney tho we hav one deth. Wiley young died yesterday he died with the hed deseas we buroed him this eavning we hav the nicest wether you ever seen for this time a year it is warme and dry the frogs and snipes is a holloing every eavning pleas let me no how Wm Searat is a getting a long with his law soot if you no i am a boarding out and i get all the milk i want to eat and you no that i lov milk mitey well i board with a good union man and woman /
James is not vary well tho he is better he has bin a taking medeson i am glad that you hav rented the ground let me no how the stears looks and the mare do you think the mare is with foald or not i think you had better by soon coarn for fiear you will not hav a nuff for to feed the hogs this sumor
Rittey Ann you seam to think that the ware will come to a close before long oh i wold be glad to hear and now that it was over so that i cold come home and / stay with you and the children tell the children that i send my lov to them and dont consider your self slited for i want to see you and the children the worst i ever did it seams like it has bin a year since i seen you tho if i never see you in this life i hope and pray day and nite that we may meete in heven fare well
