Dear Rittey Ann I am truley glad to hav the privolig of dropping you a line or to too let you no how I am a getting a long I am tolerble bad yet tho I think tha are on the mende tha feel better to day then tha hav for comon I think tha will be well in a month or sooner som times I hav a notion to try to get a furlow and come home but I dont no whether the Docter will give me one or not som says I never will go front a gane if I do tha cant keep me thare long it will take mee a bout 15 days to go front and then fifteen days for the Regt to come back in / that will take thirtey days and I hav too months and seven days to serve yet and if I live and hav good luck Ill come home then to see you and the children keep in good hart and take good cear of your self and the children and I truley hope when those lins reach you tha will find you all well and a doing well we hav had a nice wrane hear to day in the fore noon I hav good fare hear I hav tost and to eat every meal I dont eat eney meat of eney kinde just tea and bread I am vary tender I am poore I hav no stomach to eat mutch if I cold get it I rote you a letter last monday and one while I was at New Albeney Ind but I hav not got eny word from you for three months to morrow since the last letter I got from you well if you hav for got mee / when I come home I think I will now you and the children and if you dont no me I will try to get you a quanted with a soldier hoo loves you dear yes better then he loves his self well a nuff on that I rote to you a bout that land in the last letter since I came hear let me no the mans name and his price for the land and his adress and also the nombers of our land so I will go and see the man my self pleas rite soon and let me no how you are getting a long and how the corne looks my eys hurts so bad Ill hav to close soon

if you hav heard from the boys since I left them let me no I left June the 24 I think tha have bin in to a fite before this time Shureley I was in sixtey milds of Adlantia and I think tha was in the last big fite at the kenesaw mountian the papers dont giv eney news how Shearmon is a doing so fare well
