Dear Rittey Ann I take my pen in hand this morning to drop you a fiew lins in ansor to your letter of the 2 of this month I red it with pleasure I was glad to hear from you glad to hear that you was all well and I truley hope when those lins comes to hand tha will find you well
 
this morning finds mee well only my thumb it is pretey near well my eys is a bout well well you said you thought I had better not by eney more pants wool is one dollar a pound hear and I think that the pants is cheaper then to by the woole and cotton and let you / make them tho I will do as you say I hav the five dollars you sent me I hav 16 days to serv yet too weeks from day after to morrow the time will soon role a round now and I will at home with you and the children and then I can hav you and them with me Oh then I will be hapey when I can hav you in my arms and the with us and hear thare little sweet voises a round us then I can tend to the things and help you out the time will soon come if we live we will soon be to gether if nothing hapens to us
 
I am glad to hear of bill sinks a being took up and if will all leav it will be the best that tha can do for them selvs /
 
            well Rittey Ann I ame to by me a trunk to bring my things home in and I will bring you and the children a presant a peece if you want me to by you and the children shoes send me the measure of your feet just the [?] measure and I will get the shoes
 
well rite as soon as you get this letter
