Springville Ind Febuary 10th 1864
 
                                                                                                            Dear Aunt
I received your kind and welcom letter and was glad to hear from you. We are all well at presant you said in your letter you wanted me to tell you all about the connection. Saley Lowder is not well she is not very sick but is in bad helth. Margaret is well and Lucinda is ded she dide a few weeks a go she had the consumpsion. Uncle Robens girel is doing very well thair is onley three at home now and three maried and Uncle Roben and Lucinda and Floyd is dead Jane Wagoner has moved out in the Paraia and I hav not heart from them since they moved. you said that you wanted me to tell you the letter of the company it is 31st Regiment Indiana Volenteers Company K In care of Captain Brown. There is severel of the boys reinlisted but our boys has not / there is severel of the boys at home now. I want you to tell me when you heard from them and tell me all a bout them. I hav nothing interesting to write at presant. I will quit writing for the presant. If Nancy Jane stays with you tell her to write to me I wrote to her last so no more but write soon. I remain yours as evry
