My Dear Wife i this beatiful Morning take my pen in hand to let you no that I am tolarbel well at this time and i truley hope when those fiew lins comes to hand tha will find you and the Children well and doing well I wrote a letter the other day and i stated that i had seventey five dollars to send to you and i thaute i wold send it by Wm Serat i will send eightty dollars by him to you and i want you to let me no whether / you get this or not write as soon as you get this letter and let me no dont pay for the mare without the old man king will nock off ten dollars on the prise of her if he dose pay him the three twentey dollars and keep the others i want you to keep money anuf by you so that if eney thing shold hapen to you so you wold not be in distress a bout that
 
            Norman king is well and sends his lov to his wife and children 
 
i want you to let me no how little Jacob is as soon as you get this
 
            Rittey Ann if mr king dont want the money that way i want you to let Michel Coon hav it if he wants to borow that way if you let him hav it in that way let him gave his note to mr king and you get your note and if you dont do that i want you to keep it
 
Rittey Ann i sent you a nice ring in the other letter 
 
now I must bring my scrabling to a close for this time
