Adeline Messinger
Adeline Messinger (maiden name: Fenno) was born on May 12, 1820, in Canton, Massachusetts, to Isaac and Milla Fenno. Her father died in September 1826, and her mother died in July 1837. She married Vernon A. Messinger on January 8, 1839, and they had two children: Elmar, born on November 15, 1839; and Emma, born on December 7, 1840. They lived in Canton, and her husband worked as a silk manufacturer. By 1850, they owned $4,000 of real estate.
 
They moved to Boston, Massachusetts, in the 1850s, and by 1860, they owned $10,000 of real estate and $8,000 of personal property. Her husband died on September 14, 1899. By 1900, she was living with her daughter in Boston. She died of old age in Boston on November 12, 1903.
