           Camp Hoolbrook, Feb 19th
                          Brattleboro, Vt
 
     Dear Wife,                         I will write a few
lines and let you know that
I am alive and well and hope
these few lines will find you
the same I supose you looked
for me up there last weak
When I rote you I thought that
I should go but they wont
give me any more furloughs till
after we are mustard in
I am very sorry that I could
not go for I want to see you
very much Frances   I am very
lonsom Without you    it seams
a long time sinse I saw you
I should like to go up and visit
round awhile with you very
much and shall if they will let
me after we are mustard in
you said in your last letter
that perhaps I should enjoy
myself better where I am    no
Frances  I dont   I never enjoyed
myself so much as I do with
you   You said if there was any
thing that I wanted you was
willing to help me   I know that
you are willing to do anything
for me   I dont think of anything
now that I want here   If there
is any thing that you want
you must let me know    I am
willing to do any thing that
is in my power for you if
there is any thing that I want
I shall not be afraid to ask
you for it for I know that you
are willing to do any thing
for me for you are mine and I
am yours for ever   you must excuse
me for not riting before for I was
Sergt of the guard Sunday and it
was a long day to me   Should like
to ben there and went to church
with you I am lonsom with out
you   They are mustering in the
Seventh at Rutland now and will
muster us us in as soon as they get
through those those   I persume the last
of this weak or the first of next
I shouldnt wonder if we have
to start as soon as we are mustard
in but I hope not    I went down
to the village last night havent
been down before for over a weak
Den and I went down and head
our pictures taken and will send
one to you     if I dont see you
again you must take care of your
self and not work to hard
I dont think of much more to
rite this time   Give my love to
all and except a good share yourself
