Benjamin W. Jackson
Benjamin W. Jackson was born around 1837. He enlisted in the Union army on May 22, 1861, and he mustered in as a sergeant in Company I of the 23rd Ohio Infantry. The regiment took part in the Battle of Antietam. He was promoted to 2nd lieutenant on March 23, 1862, and to 1st lieutenant on January 1, 1863. He mustered out on June 30, 1864. He died sometime after June 1864.
