I thought I would drop a few lines and let you know how I prospered I was down town to church to day we had church on the ground but there was 12 of us went down town. B F Seeley and Davis arived here friday night and brought my Boots. they are a very good fit I went down town yesterday and got a hevy pair of insoles so they fit good so if dan is in a hury for the pay / for them and you have got eney of my money to spare you may pay him for I have lent george Wagstaff som so that I am out for a while. it will be five Dollars I spose. Wm Davis told me that you had taken Mary W and mother to dresdon and mother was going to stay over to ovid about a week. I wil try to go over there this week if i can I tried my best to get a ferlough last thursday but I couldent come it
I spose you have seen Ain McConell since you saw the other boys. for feer he dont tell you what the Syrecuse boys cut up the / night they staid here you must ask biley moris son. I for got, he was here the same night. Lee has not gon yet I have not seen him lately. Jim Coryell and Geore Prentis got back all right, last night. Jim said they was coming along and raising having a good time with a pint botle, and up come dick Hultr Jim said they quieted down in ahury you must not tell a bout the bottle how dos sam get along since the war
