Well Frances I presume you would like to know what we are about out here well we are laying here for reinforsments to come up tha are geting a large army to geather here general sharadon is coming here with fifteen thousand cavelry and quite a lot of infantry I think we are going down the Shanadore valley if we do we shall eather get thrasshed or we shall tharold them it is hard telling which it will be we must look for the best our folks have never ben down through here without geting a whiping I hardly think we shall get whiped this time we are going to have large army this time I hope we may be sucsesful this time dear Frances you must keep up good curage and hope for the best it is hard to be seperated as we are I trust and hope we may both live to meat agane you must be carful about working to hard this sumer get along as easey as you can you have money anough to pay your board and I hald rather you would use that than to work to hard if you are well I hope these few lines will find your health better than it was when you wrote last the boys are all well as usal I dont know of much more to write this time we shall proberly move in a day or two I guess I will close for this time chere up my dear and not wory any about me I guess we will come out all right will close by biding my darling Good Buy write soon and all the news love to all and except a good share your self
