Dear Brother
I thought I would write you one more letter before I left this camp and let you how we prospered we are all well as useule. but nothing new for it is got to be an old story that we are to move in a few days. the new recruites reached here safe the 2ed of this month W A Hess was among them he is well and tough except a little cold he caught on the boat coming from braisher there is 8 of them in Co A there is a minor with us that kept a julery shop in prattsburgh a few years ago the others are all strangers that I never saw before but are prety good chaps
Will Hess is with me he likes it very well so far he is learning to drill very fast. he makes a good eal of fun some times with his odd speaches. but he is all right there was some more troops came in here to day the 13 main came from Brownsvill texas and are going in our Brigade and they say that dudley is coming with a Brigad of cavilry to morrow So there is a big time a coming jist wait a little longer
Well pete how does that Shanhigh of Marias do has he got fethers on his toes Bill hess said he hurd that mariah had his likenes that he gave me it was a photograph I dont want her to carry it of I calculated to keep that my self. how does that little Niefew get along most ready to come to war I spose Jim is kinder jesous tell wrote / that they caled it wilson I told him that I would have to send him some of my old clothes and I thought he would be a General some day
Pete what has become of Nathan Harris. Frank hiler is married and living with the old folks I spose whare is Charley how does he get along have you ever hurd from Charles A. Lee since his draft well Pete how are you geting along for fodder this spring How meney cattle did you keep I suppose that hands will be very scarce and waiges high this summer well you must do the best you can if you are out of debt I guess you can get along
Well I dont think of eney more trash so I will close
