I will send you an order that was read to us the other night on Dresperade so you can see what our Col thinks of us
Well Pete I guess I will send for some shirts and socks I wish you would get some good stout stuff for shirts and have me a pair made and send them to me by mail and a couple of pair of socks I sweet so much this summer that it has rotted my shirts so they begin to give out in some plaises but they will last yet a while / you must take some of the money that I have sent to you to pay for all the things you send me. I believe I wont send for eney boots this time I under stand they are most as high up there as they are here and I guess I will draw a pair of cavilery boots they cost betwene 3 to 4.00 dollars and they are prety good boots
well Pete I supose if you are drafted you will raise a little money for a substitute or will you come and fight and let your money go well I tell you it is tough bussiness some times and a fellow must look out for him self and that a fellow has to do eneyway
