Dear Brother
                        I received your kind letter of April 21st with 17th postage stamps and also a bunch of envelops which wer all right and I think now I have got enough to last me untill my time is out which I dont think will be long as we will have no fighting to do and I am enjoying myself first rate I dont expect to get out before my time is out although there is all sorts of storeys in camp Some say that all the 62 call are to be mustered by the first of July but I cant see it yet and some say that the veterns and / the new recruites are going to mexico. Peter have you hurd eney more about Brother Andrews affairs now I have quite a notion to try to get mustered out down here and go to Brownsville and see if I cant find out some thing more about his afairs but I have not said eney thing to eney body about it and I dont know as I can get mustered out down here. I wish you would write and let me know wether you have received or hurd eney thing more about his afairs or have you hurd eney more from wilson pleas give me Mr Willsons address if you can and let me know what you think about it as soon as you can
 
I sent you some papers afew days ago 2 packages with 2 papers in each and will send you more as soon as I think they will pay /
 
Gus Prentiss was up to the Co day before yesterday and got a ferlough and started for home yesterday I suppose but did not have a chance to see him as I was buisey moveing convelesent from the hospitals to go to New Orleans and go home I was out all day yesterday from 7 am to 6 pm and dont know how soon I will have to go to day
 
we expect to be paid soon as all the rest of the troops are being paid. I have 10 monthes pay due but dont expect to get but 8 now. then I think I will have a 5 cent Bust but I dont know what it will be for it a dime or 2 or 4 bits to look at eney thing here. Well I dont think of eney / thing more at present so I will close by sending my best respects to all enquiring Friends
