Dear Brother
                        as it has bin some time since I wrote to you and as I dont live where I do now but have moved to the Capital of Fla and bin in the Court house insted of going to Dry Tortugas, I thought I would scrible you a few lines so as to let you know that we have not started for home yet but are going to do provo duty at Tallahassee the Capital of Fla we left Apalachicola Saturday Night but lay at the pass all night. / we went to St Markam a steamer then took the carrs and reached here at at 4 Oclock Sunday night and yesterday we moved our things the Court room of the city near the capitol Co F is coming here as soon as they can come they wer sent for the day we left and will be here in a few days the regt is at Key West Tortugas & Seder City the Mager has command at Key West. Genl Fosters Head Quarters is here and this is a great place it is on a hill and there is hills & woods all around So it seames kinder natural after to see the hills onse more / the boys are all well except the prickley heat We are all broke out more or less with that but I guess we will get along with it
 
Well I dont see eney more prospects of geting home before our times are out than I did six monthes ago so if you think you can answer this before the midle of Sept you can write if you feal so disposed. I have not hurd from you in a long time
