Lt. Col. Luther W. Hopkins,
            Baltimore, Md.

                        Dear Col.,
I am advised by Gen. J. T. Brown that he has appointed you
Aid-de-Camp on his Staff, rank Lt. Col.,
and he desires that I issue you a commission as such. I shall give the matter attention at the earliest moment. If possible, I shall get off the document today; and I trust that it will reach you safely and promptly, and please you. The charge for this is one dollar.

Your attention is asked to the within circular as to Annual Dues; and it is hoped that you will kindly comply with the request of the Finance Committee.

With every good wish for your health and happiness.

                                                            Sincerely your comrade,
                                                                        Wm. E. Mickle.
