Absent Friend
Well have had a move sens you have heard from our F Corlis is small & stood his march first rate he will stand a devil one a ajant Las Tuesday evening at 8 oclock thair was a husling with the boys you beter believe & it rained fast tha left me behind & it was lonsom jobe for me but I did not half to indure the hardship that tha did a marching I did not over take them till Saturday night I went with the boys on the cares we had to lay over one acount of the cares had not run over the road sens the Rebs burnt a lot of cars & bridges it is very cool this morning the Reportes is that you have taken wife glory to god I hope that you & yours will prosper un to the end I should lik to see Agnes first rate & should like to have ben thair when the pans wair ratling I hope that both of yun may prosper in all your moldley a fairs & may pease be with both aff you & live like the Agenles in heven & may god smile on you and yours & I hope that F Corlis & I will live to see both of you I received a leter from my wife last evening she is very small fer hur wee are in a hard looking plase five miles from fairfax station a few miles from buls run battel field it is a god for saken plase Fedrick has gone out on picket duty this morning & the rest of the company what was could able Charles Haukkton is with me in tent he was bringin some wood to camp & fell down & spraint his back so he is not able to do duty O Bayles came in to our tent & he said that he wish that he could tent with us he thinks that wee take the most comfirt wee injuy our selves first rate wee have to Bartey to support neare aus & an iron clad ear to our station that cares run rere every day the buls run river is very oily now some call this plase union mills wee care not wee are redy fer the Rebs the dead mules are plenty here & Rebs graves are run over like any pile of dirt
