We Recd yours of Sept 24 yesterday & ware very glad to here from you again; but sorrey to here that you are not quite well yet; & we hope you are geting better; for we are much concerned about your health doo try & make use of some means to give you strength if you can get some Peruvian Bark it would be very good for you to use in some good wine or whiskey & add some capsicum; & use your Demalta Balsam; & I would try to get the same medicin that Mary Rigle made for you that seamed to help you much at home; if there is any thing you want sent to you let us know it & we will send it directly Dont sit out in the night air more than you can help wen you are out try to keep stiring & you wont take cold /
I will try to get you a dozen of stamps if I can but they are very scarce here too we cant get hardley any change we have not got that likness yet.
Mr Trego Recd 2 from Aaron they are all well but herd nothing from Simon Edward Mother & the 2 toped Mr Tregos corn Rigles women helped some too.
we are about as well as usual; I am better wen the others go to work I try to kep hous & make some shingles for our stable. next weak I am going to try to help Mr Frank a little at the Molasses boiling ours has growed fast latley & is most ripe; we had no frost yet but plenty of rain we are through our hardest work we herd of the death of Gen Nelson today sorry if he was a good officer (if not no harm) we here many storyes here; but many prove to be Lies only. sorry if all was true. /
News is scarce; White & Case store was robed last friday night of some goods dont know how much the boys friends are as well as usual the Gals too; we will try to take a little care of them for you Bhoys I will try to go to town tom in the morning & get some news I have not been down in 3 weaks;
Dont neglect writing often & we will doo the same. now boys you must not get homesick no since that wont doo in war times; the Galls will be all safe for you when you return from war crowned with laurals & they will love you so much better; be good boys & go to Church when ever you have an oppertunity & read your Bibles &c & you will not have hard or long times /

I paid Abel Krandell, he was sick but is a little better I was over to see him yesterday
