My Dear Parents
I take this presant time to informe you that I am well and hearty and I hope and pray that thease few lines may find you the same it has bean a long time sinse I received a letter from you I dont no wether you have written to me ore not But if you have I have not gotten the letters so I thought that I would write one to you and let you no that I was still in the Land of the Living I received a letter from Mary the other day and I was sorry to hear that Mother had met with sutch bad luck fore she told me in hir letter that Mother had fell out of the sled and broke 2 of hir ribs this is rather bad fore hir but I hope that thair will nothing serious hapen from it but that she will soon get over it /
 
well I think that it must be hard fore hir to get along But I hope that she will soon be well again well as fore war news from this plase I cant give you mutch fore it is the same thing over fore the reb Army in this part of the Country is entirly broke up and thaire is nothing left but small parties skulking through the Country and whe keap picking them up the whole time fore whe go out on a scout every few days and have some fun with them to se witch witch can shoot the best But whe skin them them out every time and come out of the best end of the horne well thay are about all plaid out anyhow. the Boys send thair best respects to you all george will write some to you in this letter write soon to me and I will write to you as often as i can from your son

Mr W Albright I tak my Penn in hand to in form you that I am well at this time and I hop that this fue lins may find you in a good stat of health
 
I dont no much to rite this time I wot like to be at home to have a good chat wis you all for the time sims long to me to see you and I lat you no that I got a later from Pennsylvana and my grand Mother she is wall and harty and so is my Parents ar wall and now I lat you no that we hat best winter I seen yat in my lif for we hat no sno yat to any thing and tan so cold I hop god that you will haf log no more to you
