Harriet Jones
Harriet Jones (maiden name: Hoghton) was born on December 17, 1836, in Massachusetts. She married James A. Jones on April 13, 1854, and they had at least two children: Mary, born on November 7, 1856; and Minnie, born on October 16, 1861. They lived in Delavan, Illinois, and her husband worked as a doctor. By 1860, they owned $2,500 of real estate and $500 of personal property. Her husband served in the Union army, and he died in July 1864.
 
She married William J. Scott on January 21, 1869, and their son William was born around 1872. They lived in Delavan, and her husband worked as a clerk and a commercial traveler. They moved to Chicago, Illinois, in the late 1800s. She died in Chicago on December 27, 1903.
