Dangers of Progress.
 
                        Dangers are very numerous in all branches of Progress. In settling in new countries where there is nothing but wild beasts, forrest, and savages, the people place them selves amoung great dangers.
                        Before they can clear a way the forrest and raise provision, starvation oftentimes stares them in the face.
                        Often their domestic animals are devoured by /

            We are liable to be thrown of the track. The bridges across the streams often become defected and go down while being crossed by heavily loaded trains, thus wrecking the whole train
            Our large steamers which cross the ocean in so short a time are apt to become defective while on the way so that they can not be brought into port, and unless the Passengers are picked up by some other boat they all find
