To the officers and
Comrades of E. R. Brady Post No 242 G.A.R. your committee appointed to report resolutions expressive of the feeling of the members of this Post relating to the death of our Comrade Wm Rodgers would recommend the adoption of the following
Whereas it hath pleased the supreme commander of the universe to take from our ranks by death our late comrade William Rodgers, Resolved that we bow in humble Submission to his will knowing that all his acts are Supremely good and wise
Resolved that we express hereby our high appreciation of the worth of our late comrade as a citizen and soldier and member of our fraternity he was loyal as a citizen brave and true as a soldier and faithful and Zealous as a member of the grand army he bore the distinction of being the oldest Soldier ever mustered into a grand army Post up to the date of his death over/
Resolved that a copy of these resolutions be prepared and furnished to the Widow and family of the deceased
