Dear sister
Through the kind providence of God I again attempt to write you a few lines. The doctor has been tending faithful to my wound this week and has had good success so far; the Gangreen is almost burnt out of it in a few days more it will be clean. it has got so tender that it pains me a great deal to work at it, which is a good sign for when I came here it / was eat so with that stuff that I could walk on it but now I can hardly get up and down. My health otherwise is good. I have a good appetite and get plenty to eat. there is a lady got charge of the sanitary stuff and she visits us each day and finds out what we want and sends it to us. Well I am getting tired of sitting up so I will bring my letter to a close I have a thing made on purpose to put on the bed and lean back again. No at present
