Nashville Tenn.

Dear Uncle
I will scribble you a few lines this afternoon to let you know that I am getting along well you wanted me to describe the looks of my wound from the looks of it when you was here. If I remember wright there was some matter that would not work off the last you saw it. now it has got so most all of that washes off and the wound looks red like fresh meat. / or as much of it as I can see. I cannot see in that hole and the Doctor wont tell any thing, but the nurse says it looks well.

My health still continues good. The weather is still broken, it rained most all day yesterday and last night. to day it quite cool. Well I have written enough that you may know how I am, and as I have a hard way of writing I will close by wishing you all well.

Yours Truly
W H Bone.
