Dear Uncle and Family,
Another sunday finds me on Kentuckys soil makeing an attempt to scribble you a few words that you may know where I am and how I am getting along. My health is good at present but through the week I was troubled with the Diarrhea considerable. I think it was caused by change of diet and water. The wound is still healthy and healing fast. It has got so that I can / walk about in the cool of the day.

I expected on Monday last to be in camp Denison on tuesday. they took my head card for to be transfered there but something turned up to stop us. they are takeing the cards of the Ohio Indiana and Illinois men to day for to be sent to their respective states this week, but it may turn out a failure as before. I understood that they were trying to get all the men of the western states in their respective states before and on election day. the ward Master just told me that we would start away from here at 8 oclock / in the morning. I am almost afraid to go farther north for fear I will starve for we have been getting less and poorer grub ever since we left the front. the rations here are no better than we had in the front except soft bread. I expect they will give us hard tack at camp denison. As we are two miles from town and can get no news more than is in the papers and that you get, I will bring my scribling to a close by wishing you all well and enjoying a happy time.

Yours Respectfully
W H Bone.
