Dear Sister Harriet
 
I thought I would write you a few lines to let you know how I am I am gaining I think and I hope I shall continue so dont you my wound does not pain me much I think you got home pretty quick I was sorry it was so cold for you Ant Louisa came / oup and see me the next day after you came and see me I was very glad to see her she brought me some apples and I was very glad of them them apples and things you brought done me a great deal of good tell mother I would like to come home and see her but I shant till I am a great deal better then I am now I got that letter you sent me that came from George F Wallace / It laid back pretty I think I got the you sent me to day I would so very glad to see Mother or any of the rest of you tell Grandmother I send my best respects to her and tell her I would like to see her and the rest Harriet you wont catch me home any time very soon and get cold in my leg again till I am able to come home. tell Miss Fiske I send my love / and I would be very glad to see her tell her I thought a good deal of her while I was at home and I was sorry to have her go home that friday night. I must be a drawing to a close I send my best respects to all of you and I want to hear from you as often as I can this from
