I wish you a happy a new year dear Sister Harriet Harriet I think it is very cold by the looks of the windows they are very white will you tell Mother I thank her very much for coming and see me and the things she brought me they wer very good the most troubble with me that day she brought them I eat to much of it I had a pain in my stomach bowels but / I feel pretty well now my wound is a doing well now but I have to keep my bed yet when ever it is convenient for you to come down and see me I would like to have you mother I think she was very good to come down and see me It done me a greatdeal of good to see her how did she get home that night well I think she came the right day dont you how is Grandmother this cold Is she pretty smart I hope she is tell her I would like to see her very much / she was always very good to me Harriet how do you get along in the store now days I hope you get along well you tell mother I have read 13 chapters in the Bibble you ask if she thinks I hant done well to read so much tell her I calculate to read some more in it this afternoon Is not your Miss Fiskke is to home to day ant she when you see her tell her I send my best respects to her and I would be very glad to come home to see her if I was only able to / how did mother get her barrel of flower oup from the depo that she bought of Unkle Williams was it good flower I want you to write oftener to me then what you do will you If you will I will thank you very much do you and miss Fissk skate much I send my respects to you all you must excuse me for this poor writting will you please and send me 2 envelopes in your next letter I must be a drawing to a close this from your brother
