I have ben writing about coming home and I expect you have ben looking for me to come home but you needent look for me till you see me a coming for the orders have come that there will be no more furloughs given we haint got our uniform yet and dont know when we will get it but as soon as we do we expect to be taken to the regiment but we dont know where it is but it is in Arkansas or Missippi some where it is the 56 Regiment we may have to stay here a month and maybe we wont stay here a week I gess I have written a / long enough letter this time you must write as often as you can and I will write back you must try and get along as well as you can for I dont expect to come home till my time is out but if I can come i will if I dont stay more than three days if any body wants to know how I like it tell them that I like it tolerable well if all the abolitions was here
