Sarah Catherine Srofe

Sarah Catherine Srofe (maiden name: Thompson) was born around 1812 in Kentucky to James T. Thompson and Margaret Galvin. The family moved to Ohio by 1820, and her father worked as a farmer. She married David Srofe in Brown County, Ohio, on January 11, 1834, and they had at least two children: John, born around 1836; and William, born around 1842. Her husband died sometime before 1850, and she married Francis William Myers in Ohio on May 22, 1851. They lived in Brown County, Ohio, and in 1860, they owned $2,500 of real estate and $1,000 of personal property in 1860. Myers died sometime in the 1860s. By 1870, Sarah was living alone, and she owned $600 of real estate and $300 of personal property. She died in Ohio on May 9, 1893.
