East Saginaw Dec 18th/62
My Dear Brother
You may think que strange to hear from me so soon again but Mother requested me to write because she thought you would not have money enough to come home Christmast, and you must not disapoint us And, mother does but does not know exactly about it as you objected to take any more than was necessary Enclosed you will find $5. It froze last night and I had fun skating to day on the bayou. the river froze over / but it but it is not strong enough to hold
I guess we will have fun tomorrow or next day on the river I guess we will have skating Christmast.
From your Affectionate Brother
