William G. Gage to Catharine A. Gage, 4 February 1863
Lee Barracks, Feb 4th/63

Dear Mother
I received some papers from Henry last nite.

We have draw all of our equipments except our revolvers I have got a pretty good horse so has Charley & Earnest.

There is some talk of taking the ninth to fill up this and the eight I hope they will because if they dont I do not believe that this regiment will ever move, but if they should conclude to consolidat we shall be ready to move in twenty days, but it will probably be thirty days before we move if we should then.

There is no news to write. /

I see by the Enterprise that Henry sent to me that that Mrs Warner is dead.

W soon and give the news
From your son
Wm. G. Gage
