to let you now that I am well at this time and hoping these few lines may find you in the same state of helth we all went to church to day and herd a very good surmond But the worst of all thare is a compney of volintiers in the basement story of the church thare is thirty of them sick and one ded and and one died 
 
this ridgment is very helthey thare is only thirty sick we have three sick in hospell one of them thay think wil not recover the Boys is sing and yelling so that I can not rite and pirce is cutting the canddel and chewing it
 
well it is most tattoo and the Boys is hurring me so that ican not rite well imust dry up the [?] for to night for the boys wants to make the beds so goodby if you do not ancer this iwill not rite again very soon /
