I.
The New Officer of the Day will report at Head Quarters, with the Old Officer of the Day, immediately after Guard Mounting. The former for instructions, the latter to report tour of duty.
 
II.
He will take entire Supervision of the Camp Police, inspect Streets and Quarters, Sinks and Wells, look out for Fires; and see that all / fires or lights are Extinguished, except at Guard and Officers Quarters, at Taps; and that the Camp Regulations are strictly carried out.
 
III.
He will make the Rounds of Camp at least once daily and once between Midnight and Reveille. He will also see that the Calls are sounded by the Regimental Bugler and repeated by The Drum Corps when so ordered.
 
IV.
These Instructions will be transmitted from the Old Officer of the Day to his Relief.

The following will—until further orders—be the Manner of Calls. /
 
Standing Camp Reglns.
 
1st
Perfect cleanliness must be secured in Streets, Tents, Quarters and Cook Houses. No slops of any kind must be thrown upon the ground.
Two Barrels will be placed by each Cook House into which all slops and water will be thrown, and which shall be emptied into a sink in front of the Guard Quarters outside the Camp lines immediately after Reveille.
 
2nd
No enlisted man will be allowed to pass the Camp lines in any direction without Passes from his Company Commander except the Non Commissioned Staff. The Camp / Guard will take special care to prevent any such straggling. All passing from and into Camp will be by the Road in front of the Company Streets; and no enlisted man will leave camp from the rear.
            Sentinels will be so instructed.
 
3rd
No firing of guns will be allowed except between the hours of 8 and 9, or after Guard Mounting, AM—at which time—the Commanders of Companies will send all men whose guns require to be discharged to the Old Officer of the Day when they will proceed under him with the Old Guard to the beach as soon as the Guard is relieved.
 
4th
By Orders from General Head Quarters / No Trees will be cut down except small Timber for Camp purposes. No Trees will be cut within the Camp lines on any account.
 
5th
Company Commanders will instruct their men to use the sinks; and to Commit no Nuisance within or near the Camp lines.
Sentinels are instructed to arrest promptly any man detected in a breach of this Order.
