Captain Guerrier, lately on the Corps of A.A.G. now in the 8th Div. Q.M. General's Office, Washington, very kindly offers to be of assistance to me.
He will write you what recommendations &c are necessary; and I think your united exertions will secure me promotion to the Q.M. or some other Dept.
You will not spare any little expences which are necessary—
