Sir:
       In reply to your communication of the 12th of March, 1865, I have the honor to inform you that William Holliday of Co. E, 4th Reg't Ohio Volunteers, appears, from the latest information received at this Office, (dated March 27th 1865.,) to be as follows:
 
Wounded May 1864 and sent to the rear. Thorough investigation has failed to discover his whereabouts
A letter will reach him if directed to
