Dear Sister
It is with plesur that i tak my pen in hand to let you know that I am well and hope you are the same first I will tell you that I have enlisted and I dont want you to fret much A bout it I like it first trate all but one thing and that is they swere to much I bean here over a wek Lokn Lapp is with me here there is A bout 16 thousent volintwers in this camp there is six hunderd Acors of land / in this camp wee have splendid musick of all sorts wee have preaching evry Cundy in the fournoon and in the afterenoon wee get plenty to eat but solid fwod such as bread pork beaf bwens rice coffy and sugar this is what wee have to eat I ame getting fat I be leave I have ganed a pound evry day the ladys off wooster made us A nice present I must bring my letter to A close write soon and give me all the news give my respects to all
