Dear Sister
 I recived your letter last tusday and was glad to hear from you that you was all well I am well and I hope these few lines ma find you the sam we left Camp God hope last tusday we ar in vergina now we com as far as Alazxander on tusday and thar we got in the cars we went eight miles from Alazander cald spring field we was gonto camp thar we staid thare a bout a half a hower we got orders to go back to / Alexzander ther was to regt thare with us we was in a field ware thare was twenty thousand rebles was sunday tow weaks thare was in that fild we had pickets out and thay said they sean rebles we ar only twenty won miles from buls run the next day we came hear thay had it reported in Washington that we was all cut to peases and tow companes tock prisners but we ar liven yet the next litter I write I will write to mary and let her now / how I am the next letter I write it will be a long won for mary no more at presant write soon
