Dear Brother
I recived your letter monday evening and was glad to hear from you I am well and I hope these fue lines ma find you the same I wod like to be hom to night I ges thare will be grate times in Manch Ch[?] to night if i wod be home to night I wod make mary a nice Crissmass tree I am very sory to hear that Mother & Mary is sick thare was a man dide in coners compnay last saturday he was sick only three days he was baryed a sunday / he lived in monh[?] Col Miller sent home if he shoud send him home his father is ritch I will write to Amelia next time let me no if she is at hom or Rock port so I can write you wanted to no a gane if I got them gloves what John Weiss gave me I got every thing what you sent me but that tobaco what uncle sturd sent me I will hang mi boots and mi / stockings up in the tent and se what the cris kinkle will give me
