            Granmother I take this present opportunity to inform you that we are all well at present and hope that these few lines may find you all the same
 
I am well at present and have been ever since I came to the state of ohio me and thomas and father is all working on the Railroad pap is getting $2.87 cts per Day and thomas 90 cts and me 50 cts in all 4 Dollars and 27 cents per Day mother sends her love to you and says you must come out to visit us father and mat sends ther love to you all give my love to uncle vince and aunty delia more particular Johnny C I wrote to you a long time ago and have got no answer I want you to write to me as soon as you get this letter it is pretty cool this morning we have had one frost but not hard enough to bite anything
