Dear Sister
it is with pleasure that I sit down to let you no that we are all well at present and hope these few lines may find you the same I received your letter and was glad to hear from you and was sorry to hear that you and uncle daniel had a falling out but I was glad to hear that you wanted to come out here pap told me to tell you that he wanted you to come out here as soon as you can and he wants you to let him no before you start / and to let him no when you are agoing to start and me or him will meet you in belair he said you must start on a train that would get to belair in the morning so that we would have no dificulty in finding you being that you are so little mother wants you to come as soon as you can I just tell you Julia I feel very proud I as good a mother and Father or a little better than any body else you need not be afraid of haveing a cross mother for she is as good and kind to me as any body can be Ill insure if you do your duty to her that she will to you she is a little spanky some times but she is soon in a good umer again / She is about as big as ant Sally and as nice a women as ever lived I think I have not had a cross word spoken to me since I have been out here if you come out here you will have to work but it will not be very hard we will have a garden to tend I suppose you would like to hoe a little in the garden as you are so big and hearty. pap said he would send you the money to come on if uncle daniel would not give it to you but he said he would rather for him to give it to you let him no when you a going to start and he will send you a pass from belair to zanesville you must excuse all mistakes and bad ritings / for it was rote in the night and you no how I am of a night and I am in a very big hury too I can write better if I try but you I must close for it is most 8 oclock and I must go to bed
