Madam,

            I am collecting, for deposit in the Confederate Archives in the War Department, a gallery of photographs, with autographic signatures, of members of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the Confederate Government, and also of General officers of the Confederate Army. I also desire to collect photographs of the Governors of the several States comprising the Confederacy during the war. I shall be glad to receive and add Gen B. J. Hill's your photograph to those already received.
