Blanche Spurlock
Blanche Spurlock was born in March 1853 in Tennessee to John and Louise Spurlock. Her father was a lawyer who owned $6,900 of real estate and $6,200 of personal property by 1860. The family lived in Warren County, Tennessee, until the 1860s, when they moved to Nashville, Tennessee.
She married John E. Bentley on December 10, 1879, and they had at least two children: John, born around 1881; and Frank, born around 1884. Her husband died in the late 1800s. By 1900, she was living in her sister’s household in Warren County. By 1920, she was living in her son Frank’s household in McMinnville, Tennessee. She died there on February 13, 1938.
