Your's dated the 5th came to hand last evening
 
            I was verry highly pleased to hear from you and Parents and to hear every thing was going on as well as it is but sorry to hear the old gentleman was so much down to the heel.
 
Your letter found me usualy well and rest following suit except Mother She is a little better than when I wrote / before. Mary I presume I shall call up the 4th but wont tell what 4th for fear I should fulfill my promise.
 
            But dont tell any one for fear they will be on the lay for me.
 
            Tell Bud I did make that ring.

Tell him to come down with his fruit trees. I want to get 2 apple trees and one peach tree 1 & ½ plum trees / and about 1 cherry tree. ask him if he deales by the whole sale and if he does Ill double the quantity if he can change a $500,000 Bond. well I will change the subject.
 
(Please accept kind Regards of Mother, LB, go in Eph) Well I went but to get a pail of water and you can see what Mother has spatterd on my poorly written letter. but howsomever I guess I am on the wrong line. But I't will be the same a hundred years hence. /
 
Mary as the Old Saying is be thankful for small favors and large ones in proportion
