I should have started Tuesday morning & come on up if I had known you wer there but dident know but you might be gone and gave it up Henry More Sarahs Brother took Frank Charley took Miss Hattie Hart Our school teacher and Harlon & his Lucy went & I took Deloria & went to Little Valley in the evening to a ball I had a gay old time and the best pardenor the was at the ball. Ive mentioned to you her name tis Miss L.B. Handey. her father is military Secretary of N.Y.S. / She has the silver dimes to put on fixings with and she does it in style. We all had a gay old night of it about 100 couples there. Frank got a letter from Sammy a short time ago. he is all right on the plan. I will now say I have bought ½ of a threshing mashine & ½ of a mooveing mashine and have bin mooveing buildings for a few days I hire a man & pay him $4.00 per day to learn me and I furnish him & the mashine & myself & am getting $9. per day & found that leaves me about $5 per day So you see I couldent hardley spend the time now / to come up there and haying is so near at hand I could not spend time to come but will be up that way about fair time.
