Dear Friend Mary
 
I received you'r most kind and welcome messive last Saturday bearing date 16th it found me a little unwell of the 2 but I manage to keep round part of the time. I was verry much pleased to hear from you and all the people in Gen'l for that mater. My the was something caused considerable excitement with Miss F. Hemst & S.J. Mor I read it to F. and she sais I'll be darnd if she ever wrote it. I sais yes she did. then she said well you have / bin writing that [?] which you had no bis. to & I told her that I hadent and she said she shouldent believe it any how. I dident tell her nothing to the contrary untill Sunday and then I said Frank read this letter No she sais dont ask me to read it for you dont know how I feel about it. I sais feel what do I care. Well I should think youd care. But she read it then looked to the next and you ought to seen her laughf and go through with them notions of hers. Sophia sad to me well Ive bin expecting it. Eaph you'r little to roughf with pen and ink. But its all on the goose question now Every thing is lovely I hope I can come in / September I partly promised Charley I would and if a possible thing I shall I am agoing to break my colts next month so to come with a team if I do come. I think if I come I shall bring F. or Deloria they both want to go with me of course I'll not mention what I spoke of before untill I do come and the twill answer just as well. Mollie I was glad to hear you had such a delightful pleasure ride. You must improve the opportunity while you can for when you get old you cant. Give my regards to your people M— in partickr mother is bin quite smart for a short time & / bin to Alberts
