Frederick M. Hain to Gabriella Conaroe, 8 July 1866
Muncie Town
July 8th 1866
Mrs Gabriella
My darlingest darling permit me if you pleas to offer a few thoughts and very briefly too.
In the first place which I shal notice is that I am still alive. Hope you are still breathing the pure air of life and prosperity
I have visited quite a number of my friends and have not seen all yet—passed the fourth in Winchester A pleasanter time I could not have wished for
Since I have bin gone from Mount Jackson I have attended one Celebration / one Picnic, one Dance and one Church and I scarcely know which to adopt.
I imagine I hear you say the latter—do you—well I think you are a bout wright.
In conclusion I will say that I expect to stop in this town for a while and will be pleased to hear from you at the earliest possible practical moment
with much respect I remain
your friend
F. M. Hain
