The 1955 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map does not have a 609.5 25th Street, but 609 25th Street is a square, two-story frame building with a slate or tin roof. It is labeled S for store. The building to its west, at 607.5 25th, is a restaurant; the brick building to its east is a store.
Anthony Barber Shop was located immediately to the left of the brick building in the photo. Its site is now part of the vacant lot.
